Escort Driver
Primary Responsibilities
Drive a vehicle equipped with warning lights and signs to escort trucks hauling oversized construction equipment.
Position Requirements
Maintain safe distance when preceding or following oversized equipment load to provide warning to other motorists and to clear traffic at locations.
Adhere to company policies, state and federal regulations
Maintain required paperwork in timely manner
Preferred Experience
Preference given to candidates with good references and a minimum of five years of operating experience that meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Skills and Abilities
Previous commercial driving experience is preferred. Must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company. Must meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements and carry a physical exam card, which is to be kept current according to DOT guidelines.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule during busy season. Must be able to work late or irregular hours. Previous knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful. Must understand and maintain the internal and external customer service responsibilities of the position.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have a Class B Drivers License.

Constant sitting, reaching and grasping
Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and climbing
All aspects of vision are required – acuity, depth perception and field of vision
Ability to talk and hear is important for communication between co-workers on safety and operational matters affecting equipment operations
